DESCRIPTION:Commodore Michael Newcombe and the Board of Directors invite you to join them for the 2025 Sailpast! \nSunday\, June 8 • Registration is Required \nOne of the Kelowna Yacht Club’s longstanding traditions is Sailpast\, whereby the Commodore is honoured by the Members of the Club. \nThis tradition allows the fleet to be inspected by the Commodore and is accomplished by the fleet passing in front of the Commodore’s Flagship; giving and receiving a salute from the Commodore. Every year\, the practice and history of Sailpast is performed by thousands of yacht club’s around the world. \nDid you know? If not able to attend the Sailpast\, tradition dictates that regrets are to be sent to the Commodore. This can be done via registration here. \nIf attending\, registration is required and we kindly ask that you register for all who will be attending with you as well. \nSCHEDULE OF EVENTS \n9:00-10:00 AM · Complimentary Breakfast Buffet · Member Lounge\n10:15 AM · Flag Raising · Flagpole\n10:20 AM · Board Procession & Ceremony · Grand Banquet Room\n11:00 AM · Proceed to boats\n11:30 AM · Sailpast Commences \nEVENT DETAILS \nBreakfast · We welcome all of our members to join us prior to Sailpast in the Member Lounge for a complimentary breakfast buffet. DESCRIPTION:Learn to sail on a 27-foot Keelboat! Enjoy a lesson spent out on the water\, learning valuable skills and experiencing the joys of sailing. No previous sailing experience is necessary\, and you can learn at any age. Instructors will tailor the lesson to your skill level and abilities.
