Message to Mooring Members

Dear Mooring Members,

Thank you for your support of the Club during this time of closure. With limited access to the clubhouse and basin currently available, and with the warmer days upon us, we are seeing an increased number of members on the docks checking in on their vessels.

We are at the final stages of our fire suppression system installation, which means that many parts of the basin are considered a job site. This last piece of the project involves divers, boards being removed and various workers on top of the dock systems. There are concerns of the contractors not being able to operate safely if they are working amongst high traffic throughout the basin.

While we are striving to not completely shut down access to the basin while this work is being completed, we are asking that effective immediately, visits to the basin are avoided during weekdays, from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. You are welcome to be in the basin anytime after 4:00 PM or on weekends. If we all work together following these guidelines, we will be able to complete the work required by the end of the month.

We understand that this message comes with short notice. If access to your vessel is required during the day, please do not hesitate to contact our Dockmaster, Bassam Shmordok, at (778) 215-5473 and he can ensure safe access.

Once again, thank you for your support during this time. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warm regards,

Thom Killingsworth,
Executive Director
