• Boat Club and Paddle Club registration is now open.
• Summer Camp registration is now open, and available to everyone.
• Slips on A, B, C, D, and F Dock are reserved for the Kelowna Boat Show. If you need to bring your boat into the basin before April 27th, please contact our Moorage Coordinator to be assigned a temporary slip.

We're excited to say that, starting tomorrow, the Member Lounge is now open 7 days a week. Wings & Beer will be returning as the Monday Dinner Feature, and the Tapas Experience special menu will be available every Tuesday evening alongside the regular dinner menu. As always, reservations are highly encouraged!

Dining in the Member Lounge is available for Kelowna Yacht Club members, their guests, and Reciprocal Club members.

Able Sail Okanagan (Formerly Disabled Sailing Association) has long been a cherished fixture on Kelowna Yacht Club’s “O Dock”. KYC and ASO work together to provide magical sailing opportunities for persons with disabilities in Kelowna and the surrounding area. Most of our members have a passing knowledge of Able Sail Association (ASO) and its wonderful work, but do you know the story of disabled sailing and how it all got started? The story behind this empowering initiative is as inspiring as the sailors who take to the water.

A Brief History:
On June 27, 1973, 15-year-old Rick Hansen was living in Williams Lake, B.C, when an accident changed the course of his life, thrown from the back of a pickup truck, Rick suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed and reliant on a wheelchair. After a long and challenging period of recovery and rehabilitation, Rick found his way to wheelchair sports. Later he earned a degree in Physical Education from UBC. From 1979 to 1984 Rick won 19 wheelchair marathons, three world titles and 15 medals at the Paralympic and Pan Am Games. In 1985 he started his now-legendary “Man in Motion World Tour” and became an inspiration to disabled persons around the world. Canadians know his story well and are proud of his continuing accomplishments.

In 1978 at the age of 19, Vancouver Born Sam Sullivan’s life took a drastic turn when a skiing accident left him almost completely paralyzed. After a long-term struggle with depression, Sam completed a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. His organization the Sam Sullivan Disability Foundation has raised over $20 million and served thousands of people throughout Canada. Sam has made significant...
