Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Does this give a certification?
A: This course does not give a certification; it is designed to help you to start building experience and get you connected with some of the sailing community here at the club. We will have some additional program options becoming available in the spring for beginners to intermediate-level sailors running throughout the late spring/summer 2023 season.
Q: What if I miss a class?
A: We do not have any make-up classes planned; however, the instructors are really great about summarizing previous lessons and helping you feel as though you are caught up with important information.
Q: What if the weather is not very good?
A: Rain or shine we will go out on the water. If there is a lack of wind during the on-water sessions, we will still proceed as we can cater the lesson to cover plenty of hands-on experience topics. If there is lightning or a storm, we will contact the participants and inform them of a new plan or refund.
Q: Who should we contact with any questions?
A: Email sailingschool@kelownayachtclub.com
