Oktoberfest at Kelowna Yacht Club

Prost! Oktoberfest is coming to the Kelowna Yacht Club.

Join us Friday, September 18 for an evening of Bavarian-inspired food, live music, dancing and Oktoberfest spirit in the Member Lounge. This year, the Member Lounge will remain open for regular service, giving you the flexibility to enjoy dinner, drinks and live entertainment at your own pace.

The Experience

Our Culinary Team will be celebrating Oktoberfest with a special Oktoberfest Feature Menu, including a fish entrée feature, alongside our regular à la carte menu. Whether you’re in the mood for something festive or want to stick with a KYC favourite, there will be plenty to choose from.

Then, starting at 7:30 PM, The Oktoberators will take the stage!

We’re excited to welcome back this four-piece Bavarian Oom-pah band, bringing the energy and sounds of a traditional Oktoberfest celebration to KYC. Featuring accordion, drums, guitar, tuba, trumpet and even an alphorn, The Oktoberators have performed Oktoberfest celebrations throughout Western Canada and are also known as the band behind Vancouver’s Harvest Haus.

Expect traditional Bavarian and German-inspired music, polkas, familiar favourites and plenty of opportunities to get up and dance.

Want to join us just for the music? Guests arriving after 7:00 PM to enjoy the entertainment will be charged a $10 entertainment fee. Simply come by, grab a drink, enjoy some food and join the party!

Traditional Bavarian attire such as lederhosen, dirndls or blue-and-white themed outfits is encouraged but not required.

What should I wear?
Traditional Oktoberfest attire is encouraged but not required. Come dressed in lederhosen, a dirndl, blue and white, or simply your favourite fall outfit.

The event is open to Kelowna Yacht Club and Reciprocal members.

No! The Member Lounge will be open for regular service. You can join us for dinner and drinks as you normally would. Guests who come after 7:00 PM to enjoy the live entertainment will be charged a $10 entertainment fee.

What time does the music start?
The Oktoberators will begin performing at 7:30 PM.

Can I just come for the music?
Absolutely! Guests joining us after 7:00 PM for the entertainment can enjoy the music for a $10 entertainment fee.

What about members who were already registered for the original event?
Members who were already registered will be contacted directly by our Team regarding the changes. As a thank-you for your understanding and to acknowledge the change to the original event format, those members will receive complimentary entertainment access.
