We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Team Celerity as they compete in the 2026 Race to Alaska! Did you know a group of KYC sailors is currently taking on this 750-mile race from Port Townsend, Washington to Ketchikan, Alaska, with no engines and no support? They’re navigating open water, tidal rapids, remote coastline, and wilderness conditions using only wind or human power.

This is the kind of challenge that creates unforgettable stories and experiences. With no motors allowed, teams must rely on wind and pedal power alone to make their way to Alaska, and in the video, you can see Team Celerity putting in the work. We can’t wait to follow their journey, cheer them on, and see what they get up to along the way.
