Commodore Danny Foster formally invites you to attend the 2026 Commodore’s Ball.

Join us for an elegant evening of dining, entertainment and connection as we celebrate one of Kelowna Yacht Club’s most anticipated traditions.

Who is this event for?

The Commodore’s Ball is open to Kelowna Yacht Club members and their invited guests.

The Experience

The Commodore’s Ball brings members together for an evening of elegance, great food, live entertainment and good company.

Begin the evening with a cocktail reception featuring a signature welcome drink, passed canapés and food stations before gathering for the Board Procession and welcoming remarks. Dinner will follow, with dessert stations, live music from The McKinley Band and a late-night snack rounding out the evening.

Whether you’re joining us to celebrate our Commodore, enjoy an evening out or spend time socializing with fellow members and friends, we look forward to welcoming you for a memorable night at the Club.

Tickets include entry to the event, a welcome drink, 2 drink tickets, cocktail reception, dinner, dessert stations, live entertainment, photobooth and late-night snack.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations can be cancelled until 2 days before the event at 12:00 am. Registrations cancelled fewer than 2 days prior to the event at 12:00 am will be charged 100% of the registration fee.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal attire is encouraged. Think cocktail dresses, suits, gowns or other elegant evening wear.

Who can attend?

This event is open to Kelowna Yacht Club members and their invited guests.

What is included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes entry to the event, a welcome drink, 2 drink tickets, cocktail reception with canapés and food stations, dinner, dessert stations, access to the photobooth, a late-night snack and live entertainment.

Will there be assigned seating?

Yes. Guests will be seated at assigned tables. If you would like to be seated with another reservation, please let us know when registering.

Are dietary accommodations available?

Yes. Please note any allergies or dietary requirements during registration, and our culinary team will be happy to accommodate them where possible.

How do I pay for my ticket and when am I charged?

Tickets are reserved online through the KYC website. Once registered, the applicable ticket charges will be added to the member’s account and will appear on their statement on the day of the event. No payment will be required on the evening of the event. Please refer to the cancellation policy above.

I am bringing a guest to the event. How do they pay?

All tickets, including guest tickets, will be charged to the associated member’s account. Any payment arrangements between a member and their guests are the responsibility of the member.

I am a reciprocal club member. Am I able to purchase a ticket?

At this time, registration is available to KYC members and their invited guests to ensure our members have priority access to the event. Reciprocal club members may be invited to register at a later date, subject to ticket availability.

Is the Member Lounge open for dining this day?

No. The Member Lounge will be closed for the entire day on October 3 in preparation for the Commodore’s Ball. The Galley Lakeside Café will be open from 7:30 AM–5:00 PM. The Member Lounge will resume regular operating hours on Sunday, October 4.
