Kids Halloween Party

Step into our Mad Scientists Lab!

This Halloween, we’re partnering with UBC Geering Up to transform the Grand Banquet Room into a laboratory filled with spooky science, curious creations, and plenty of Halloween fun.

Who Is This Event For?

This event is open to KYC Members and their guests and is designed for families with children.

Costumes are encouraged, so come dressed in your Halloween best and get ready for an afternoon of experimenting, creating, and discovering!

The Experience

Get ready for some seriously spooky science!

Gather around for exciting live science demonstrations featuring chemical reactions designed to create some serious “WOW!” moments. Kids and families can watch as experiments bubble, react, and bring science to life right before their eyes.

At the Zombie Eyeball Station, young scientists will mix ingredients together to create their very own squishy, gelatinous zombie eyeball. For those brave enough to give their creation a try, the ingredients are even edible!

There will be even more Halloween fun to discover throughout the afternoon, including face painting, Halloween colouring and activities, snacks and treats, and goodie bags to take home.

Pricing

$20 per person*

*Price includes tax and gratuity.

Admission includes the science experience, face painting, Halloween activities, snacks, themed non-alcoholic beverages, and a goodie bag.

Registration

Registration is required in advance. Space is limited, so members are encouraged to register early.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are accepted up to 2 days prior to the event.

Cancellations made after this time will be subject to a 100% charge of the registration fee.

FAQs

Do parents/guardians need to stay during the event?

Yes. This is not a drop-off event. A parent or guardian must remain on-site with their child(ren) for the duration of the event. Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising their children throughout the afternoon.

What is included with my ticket?

Your ticket includes the Geering Up science demonstrations and Zombie Eyeball Station, face painting, Halloween activities and colouring, snacks, themed non-alcoholic beverages, and a goodie bag.

Should kids wear costumes?

Absolutely! Halloween costumes are encouraged.

Will the science activities be hands-on?

Yes! Along with watching the live science demonstrations, kids will get the chance to participate in the hands-on Zombie Eyeball Station and create a spooky experiment of their own.

Do we need to arrive right at 1:00 PM?

We recommend arriving near the beginning of the event so your little scientist has plenty of time to enjoy the activities and catch the live demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

What if my child has dietary restrictions or allergies?

Please indicate any dietary restrictions or allergies when registering. Our team will do our best to accommodate.
